Start-ups / Small Businesses
The “valley of death” is littered with great ideas and prototypes that died for lack of advanced development funding and a clear understanding of how to monetize intellectual property. Medical Red Team knows the sources of advanced development funding and investment and knows how to successfully interact with those organizations.
Medical Red Team recognizes that small businesses often are constrained by limited resources. In a very cost-effective process, we identify for our small business clients focused and relevant opportunities for non-dilutive funding. We also guide them through the proposal process.
Non-profits
The design, implementation and management of focused “bench to bedside” medical research and development programs designed to take products from the laboratory bench to the clinical bedside.
Medical Red Team augments non-profit staffs with subject matter experts, identification of funding opportunities and proposal review.
Universities/Academic Medical Centers
Through webinars, we introduce faculty and staff members to the numerous medical research programs outside of the traditional NIH route. We work with individual faculty members to identify specific research funding opportunities tailored to their areas of research.
Defense Contractors
From time to time very large medical research IDIQ opportunities arise in the Department of Defense. Medical Red Team Founder and President, Dean Calcagni, M.D., has served as a Defense Contractor Program Manager for the United States Army Medical Research and Development Command’s Medical Product Research and Development (MPRD) IDIQ and a Defense Contractor Consultant for the Defense Health Agency’s OMNIBUS IV IDIQ
Medical Red Team can greatly strengthen a proposal team by providing subject matter experts across the complete spectrum of clinical, scientific, and technological areas.
